Hey, I’m Stephen!
I am a warm and welcoming person first, and a professional physiotherapist second.
I have a Masters of Physical Therapy, a Bachelor of Kinesiology, and vast experience working as a personal trainer. I pride myself on being a lifelong learner. Since graduating in 2018, I have been certified in: Sports injury taping, Vestibular Therapy (dizziness-related disorders), concussion management, and Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy level 1.
My personal training experience and knowledge in strength and conditioning is always on display in my physiotherapy practice, as I believe in a balanced treatment approach focused on functional exercise and programming. I bring enthusiasm and optimism to the table as your physiotherapist and look forward to applying more than six years of schooling into practice.
I was fortunate enough to spend the past 2.5 years gaining work and life experience in New Zealand. This international experience opened my eyes to different training and rehab styles. As a regionally recognized senior therapist in New Zealand, I split my time between a boxing gym, and an all-boys high school, working primarily with high-level and nationally recognized athletes
I was born and raised in rural Manitoba. My rural upbringing instilled a deep love of nature, wildlife, and the great outdoors – and it continues to shape who I am today. When I’m not working or weight training, I enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and playing any individual/team sport there is.
As your physiotherapist, I will actively listen and allow you to be an active member in your rehabilitation process, whether that means providing space for you to voice your concerns or making sure you’re comfortable enough to ask questions. I’m not here to tell you what you have to do; I’m here to provide options and guidance for your treatment. This is your rehabilitation. Together, we can move towards progress and get you back to the things you love.
